Owning the tooling process gives us the ability to respond quickly and precisely to customer needs. From fine-tuning dies for complex profiles to extending tool life through preventative maintenance, our in-house approach ensures consistency across long production runs and eliminates the risk of delays caused by third parties.

State-of-the art tooling design & development
After a thorough part design review, our extrusion tools start with modern 3D computer modeling and sophisticated flow-analysis simulation. Tool designs are validated for expected results to a 70–80% level through simulation before steel is ever cut.
Then, precise CNC machining and wire EDM are used to produce tooling to exacting tolerances. These machining techniques are taken one step further and are also utilized throughout the tooling-development revision process in lieu of undocumented handwork. This not only ensures revisions are made accurately, but that a precise record of the tooling’s final configuration is maintained for ease of replacement due to wear or damage.
Beyond extrusion tooling
The same technology, precision, and care that drive our extrusion tooling extend to our assembly tooling and equipment. It’s not enough to simply build tooling to make world-class extruded parts. Our customers have needs for complex part fabrications and features, subassemblies, and various value-add operations.
