In order to complete full part layouts and dimensional capability studies, our quality assurance technicians use a state of the art non-contact video measurement system.  Consistency can be exceptionally important for a profile that will be used to construct something more complex, like a window or office furniture.  Crane Plastics is equipped with in-line dimensional measurement systems that allow our operators to monitor the shape of the parts in real time.  In addition, Crane Plastics uses statistical process control with digital length gauges to provide extremely tight length tolerances.  Finally, color spectrometers make sure that our color matching is the tightest in the industry.

 

 

Crane Plastics does its best to make sure that the profiles we manufacture not only remain consistent during the manufacturing process, but also conform to your standards every time.  We maintain a fully furnished materials testing lab to ensure flawless performance from our products.  Impact testing, bulk density, and moisture analysis, along with accelerated weathering are a small selection of the many tests we are able to perform.  Crane Plastics is also home to two Brabender rheometers as well as a number of lab extruders so we can fully understand how different materials will process in our customers' parts.
